Responsibilities:
  • Assess the training needs of employees and clients to determine AS400 skill gaps.
  • Develop customized training programs and materials based on identified training needs.
  • Design and deliver engaging training sessions on AS400 administration, development, and programming.
  • Provide hands-on demonstrations and exercises to reinforce learning objectives.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure training content is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments and feedback mechanisms.
  • Monitor trainee progress and provide additional support as needed.
  • Stay current with AS400 technologies, trends, and best practices to continuously improve training content.
  • Provide guidance and support to trainees during and after training sessions.
  • Maintain training records and documentation for audit and reporting purposes.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience working with AS400 systems.
  • Proficiency in AS400 administration, development, and programming languages such as RPG, CL, and SQL.
  • Proven experience designing and delivering training programs in a corporate or educational setting.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certification in AS400 administration or programming (preferred).
  • Experience with training management systems or learning management systems (LMS) is a plus.
