We are looking for a skilled AS400 Trainer to design, develop, and deliver comprehensive training programs on AS400 systems. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in AS400 administration, development, and programming languages such as RPG, CL, and SQL. The AS400 Trainer will be responsible for assessing training needs, creating training materials, conducting training sessions, and evaluating the effectiveness of training programs.
Responsibilities:
• Assess the training needs of employees and clients to determine AS400 skill gaps.
• Develop customized training programs and materials based on identified training needs.
• Design and deliver engaging training sessions on AS400 administration, development, and programming.
• Provide hands-on demonstrations and exercises to reinforce learning objectives.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure training content is accurate and up-to-date.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments and feedback mechanisms.
• Monitor trainee progress and provide additional support as needed.
• Stay current with AS400 technologies, trends, and best practices to continuously improve training content.
• Provide guidance and support to trainees during and after training sessions.
• Maintain training records and documentation for audit and reporting purposes.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 4+ years of experience working with AS400 systems.
• Proficiency in AS400 administration, development, and programming languages such as RPG, CL, and SQL.
• Proven experience designing and delivering training programs in a corporate or educational setting.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Certification in AS400 administration or programming (preferred).
• Experience with training management systems or learning management systems (LMS) is a plus.
