Responsibilities:
- Assess the training needs of employees and clients to determine AS400 skill gaps.
- Develop customized training programs and materials based on identified training needs.
- Design and deliver engaging training sessions on AS400 administration, development, and programming.
- Provide hands-on demonstrations and exercises to reinforce learning objectives.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure training content is accurate and up-to-date.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments and feedback mechanisms.
- Monitor trainee progress and provide additional support as needed.
- Stay current with AS400 technologies, trends, and best practices to continuously improve training content.
- Provide guidance and support to trainees during and after training sessions.
- Maintain training records and documentation for audit and reporting purposes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 4+ years of experience working with AS400 systems.
- Proficiency in AS400 administration, development, and programming languages such as RPG, CL, and SQL.
- Proven experience designing and delivering training programs in a corporate or educational setting.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification in AS400 administration or programming (preferred).
- Experience with training management systems or learning management systems (LMS) is a plus.
