You will become part of an IT area of high priority in the bank, with the vision of truly changing the way the bank functions.
We are seeking an experienced software developer with extensive knowledge on Mainframes with DevOps and Cloud knowledge.

About the team:

You will be joining in TECH Strategy and Acceleration (TS&A) team, responsible for driving the IT transformation. Our goal is to enable development community to be fully compliant and realise their productivity potential, by offering an internal Development Platform for the end-to-end System Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
You will collaborate closely with the Mainframe Development Tools(MDT) squad.

Key responsibilities:
  • Your role and responsibilities are to act as an enabler with the following core competencies:
  • Subject Matter Expert:
  • Acting as a subject matter expert on IBM Developer for Z-series (IDz) and the related technical platform suite.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert on Mainframes and its internal setup.
  • Acting as subject matter expert on various IBM Mainframe tools and languages.
  • Development, Customization and Testing:
  • Work with plugin development and customization of the Mainframe tool using Java.
  • Troubleshooting and debugging on the internal setup of the tools.
  • Working with CI/CD pipeline by adopting DevOps with Cloud knowledge.
  • Practices of test with focus on test automation.
  • Continually improve on the tools, processes, and procedures.
  • Passionate to work on Full stack development opportunities.
Maintenance and Support:
  • Build, maintain and scale infrastructure of the development environment and systems.
  • Work with third-party vendors to resolve infrastructure issues if needed.
  • Own production incidents/issues and provide level 3 response to infrastructure/tools related incidents and alerts.
  • Write and maintain technical infrastructure documentation.
Relevant Skills:
  • Operating Systems: IBM Z series, Windows, Linux.
  • Languages: JCL, COBOL, PL1, REXX, Assembler and Java.
  • Databases: DB2, SQL Server.
  • Tools: IBM Rational Tools like RDz/IDz, RTC, Problem determination tools like Debug tool, Fault Analyser, File Manager.
  • Need to be a quick learner & able to work on the new technologies.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience with Mainframe Administration related activities is a plus.
  • Knowledge on CICS and MQ’s would be an added advantage.
  • Experience with Testing Tools and practices would be an added advantage.
  • Experience working on large-scale agile organizations is a plus.

  • Proficiency in automating and optimizing processes.

Experience and qualification:
  • 6-8years of experience in working with software development on the mainframes and distributed environments will be preferred.
  • Bachelor’s/master’s degree in computer science – IT-related field or similar.
