Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven person to join our sales team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of engineering services and solutions, along with a proven track record of customer acquisition for USA and India markets. This role involves generating new business, nurturing client relationships, and driving revenue growth in the engineering services sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development:
- Identify and target potential clients across identified industries for engineering services covering embedded electronics, electro-mechanical systems, automation, IoT, integrated software and mobile applications.
- Generate new business from targeted geographical territories and expand the customer base.
- Drive the sales cycle, including prospecting, business case generation, proposal creation, client meetings, and negotiations.
- Customer acquisition – build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure repeat business.
- Communicate client expectations and project requirements to the technical team.
- Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, leads, and pipeline status.
- Provide regular updates to management on sales progress and forecasts.
Sales & Revenue Generation:
- Achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Collaborate with internal teams to create pre-sales documentation – proposals, presentations, and collateral.
- Conduct presentations to educate clients on available engineering services – capabilities, offerings and engagement models.
Market Research & Competitor Analysis:
- Monitor industry trends and keep up to date with market developments.
- Analyse competitor offerings and market positioning to identify new sales opportunities.
- Participate in exhibitions, conferences and networking events
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 to 15 years in sales or business development in the engineering services sector (or a related industry).
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of engineering services and solutions (e.g., design, consulting, project management, software engineering, etc.).
- Prior experience in following shall be preferred
- Selling product engineering services and/or IoT solutions.
- Exposure to HVAC, industrial products, med-tech and instrumentation sector.
- Sales Skills: Proven experience in B2B sales, consultative selling, and closing deals.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information in an easy-to-understand manner.
- Negotiation: Strong negotiation skills and ability to close sales contracts.
- CRM Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) for lead management and reporting.
- Other Skills: Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
